Beta Pi Chapter of Queens College Chapter History

 Chapter History

The Beta Pi, chapter was originally established at Queens College, CUNY in 1956, by a group of young women, and unfortunately in the late 1960's the chapter was no more.

In the late 1990's a group of young women, decided to re-establish the Beta Pi chapter of Phi Sigma Sigma.  It was a tough journey but we made it.  On June 13th, 1999, the chapter was re-established.

In the words of Mirela Dzindo one of the founders of the chapter,

"From the day the future sisters of "Beta Pi" met - we instantly became close friends. Before any of us knew it, we treated and loved each other as though we were SiStErS. With love and sisterhood, our chapter rapidly grew large in numbers) & with kindness and "group effort" we shall continue to proceed with our strenuous goals in the years ahead of us."
